11/27 QCCQ

Quote: "Domestic animals are animals that have been bread to live with humans- they have been changed genetically".

Comment: Genetically changed animals are very common in today's science improved world. Genetically changes in organisms are very complex, however this change has been done over a long period of time.

Connection: In biology class we are talking about genetics and how animals and food are genetically changed for different reasons.

The DNA sequence is made of proteins and proteins are made of amino acids. the proteins code for everything in the organism. From color to texture to every aspect of the organism. When genetically changing something in the organism, scientists will change the amino acids in the DNA sequence. Then after the amino acids are changed they will change the protein they make, creating a new trait in the organism.

Questions:

- How did genetically changes stated in the science community?

-What was one of the first organisms to be genetically changed?

-is there a risk for organisms to be changed and something else occur, perhaps something dangerous?
